The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, joined hundreds of young people on Tuesday to mark the 2025 International Youth Day, praising their unity and community spirit.
Speaking at the well-attended event, Adebanjo described the turnout as “a remarkable display of togetherness” and promised that future celebrations would be even bigger and more impactful.
“This celebration brings me joy because it is not only to congratulate our youth, but to celebrate every one of us. By this time next year, it will be even greater. As a young person myself, I share in this moment with you,” he said.

The Chairman acknowledged the challenges faced by the youth in the LCDA and commended their resilience. “I identify with your struggles, your challenges, and the way we present ourselves to the world, even when we do not have much. Today is for you. You are doing well, and by God’s grace, we will do even better for you,” he assured.
Adebanjo reaffirmed his commitment to youth development, pledging, “As a young person in Onigbongbo, I will not disappoint you.”
